there i am, sitting at my desk, minding my own business, when i hear someone walk in the door. amanda's out, so i'm the resident front person. 'may i help you?' i ask. 'why yes. i was just here in the offices around you, checking on some of our customers. you see, i sell paper and other office supplies,' this man responded. WHAT?! oh my. it's a paper salesman. no way. here's a man, trying to sell me paper. i live in the office.
while this salesman tries to talk to me, i can't really understand what he's saying. i'm sure i've got this slight grin and look of disbelief on my face and he must be really confused. i'm trying to figure out what character he reminds me of the most. i think a comical mixture of andy, stanley, and jim. yes, quite the combo. i give him the typical intern response, 'i don't handle that, but if you come back later someone might be in who could help you.' and he asks where he should go to lunch, apparently he's new in the area. maybe there was a branch merger.
i'm ridiculous. (but of course, as soon as i hear the door close, i email the one person who might not call me crazy, blake.)
the only explanation i can give is i've been rewatching season four on hulu, so it's all a little fresh in my mind.
it made me laugh at least. just another day at the office...
